Benefits of an Early Bedtime

Score for parents everywhere! If you put your kids to bed early each and every night, they will be smarter! Hooray! That sounds like a win/win to me! You get more accomplished at night and your kids do better in school. I can do this one for sure! How about you?

FROM NBC: An early bedtime could your boost your pre-schooler's academic skills. A study of 8-thousand kids finds those who had a consistent bedtime at four years old -- scored higher on a battery of tests, including literacy and math. Kids who got less than eleven hours of sleep each night had lower test scores. Earlier bedtimes and firm bedtime routines were also associated with higher developmental scores. The strict bedtime applied to kids over the age of 4. The parents were interviewed when they were 9 months old and again when they were 4.
