Teen Birth Rate

The teen birth rate going down is a wonderful thing. I don't happen to know anyone with teenagers so my first thought is, "how is this impacting domestic adoption?" If fewer teenagers are giving birth, are there fewer babies being put up for adoption? I just wonder. I certainly wouldn't want to encourage teenagers to have babies.

FROM NBC: The teen birth rate has hit a record low. The CDC's National Center for Health Statistics has released new birth statistics for 2009. The birth rate fell overall -- with fewer babies born in 2009 than in 2008. Pre-term birth rates are also down -- declining for the third straight year. And births among girls between the ages of 15 and 19 fell to its lowest level ever recorded in the 7 decades the CDC has tracked this information. C-sections, on the other hand, rose to a record high of nearly 33-percent.
