Car Seat Safety Check

In the past parents have asked me when/where they can get their car seats checked. So I thought I should pass along this news release.

WHAT: The Tazewell County Sheriff's Department, in cooperation with Tazewell County Probation, will be sponsoring a FREE Car Seat Inspection as part of Seat Check Saturday. Certified technicians will provide free training, education and car seat inspections. In addition, free refreshments will be provided for parents who get their seats inspected, and several door prizes will be awarded.

WHY: Nationally, NINE out of TEN car seats are installed INCORRECTLY. This is an opportunity to make sure the children of our communities are secured in car seats which have been properly installed.

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on SATURDAY, MAY 22, 2010

WHERE: Kroger parking lot
