Peoria March for Babies This Sunday- Rain or Shine

(Peoria…April 23, 2010) The 2010 March of Dimes March for Babies this Sunday will take place rain or shine! If there is heavy rain, there will still be a brief ceremony to celebrate the hard work of the walkers and volunteers, as well as the March of Dimes mission. There will be plenty of tents and shelters available for walkers to enjoy the food and activities. The only case in which the walk will be canceled is if there are dangerous storm warnings. If the event is canceled, walkers should still bring their donations to the park during the registration time.

The 2010 March for Babies walk will take place on April 25^th from 1:00 pm. until 3:00 p.m. at Lower Bradley Park-- 1314 Park Road (Farmington Road at West Main and Park Road) Peoria, IL 61604.

The event features face painting, balloon art by Doug Smith with The Unique Twist, music, baby yoga, Homer (the Peoria Chief’s beloved mascot), moon walks, lots of food and much more! Registration begins at 12:00 p.m. and the first 150 walkers will receive a March of Dimes bag, sponsored by Methodist Medical Center, filled with goodies from Peoria Vendors, so don’t be late.
