Stress During Pregnancy

They are finding so many things are linked to asthma these days...

FROM NBC: Stress during pregnancy may influence whether children will develop asthma. Researchers in Boston studied the cord blood of infants born to mothers living in large cities. many were minorities living in poor neighborhoods.


Babies whose mothers lived in more stressful environments were more likely to have differences in immune function markers in their cord blood. Asthma is often more prevalent in minority populations. The women were from Boston, Baltimore, New York and St. Louis.
