Chemicals in Pregnant Women

Pregnant women deal with headaches and pains and all loads of health problems without treating them because they don't want to take anything that might impact their baby. This startling new research will surely make more women think twice about what they eat and the products they use. It makes me think it will be my fault if my kids have any health problems down the road.

FROM NBC: A new study finds almost all pregnant women have chemicals in their blood that raise the risk of preterm birth and birth defects. Researchers at the University of California San Francisco discovered 99 to 100-percent of the expectant mothers studied had dangerous chemicals in their bloodstream ... including toxins used in flame retardants and pesticides that were banned in the 1970's.
96-percent of women also carried bisphenol-a ... the controversial substance used to harden plastics that *may* affect fetal brain development. Chemicals used in non-stick cookware, processed foods and personal care products were also detected among the 268 women in the study.

The National Resources Defense Council is urging people to stand up and do something to get rid of all the chemicals in our food system.
