Appearance is everything when it comes to fruit. If you make it look good, the kids are more likely to try it and realize it takes good too! This is so true at my house. If I cut up the fruit and put it on the table in a bright bowl, it's gone in seconds. If it's not cut up nicely, they don't touch it! Have you noticed this at your house?
FROM NBC: When it comes to getting your kids to eat more fruit -- color may be key. Researchers at Cornell University observed that most fruit in school lunchrooms are sold in metal trays or bowls in inconvenient locations. So for an entire semester they conducted an experiment at three new york schools -- where fruit was placed in colorful bowls at the front of the line. When they compared sales from the previous year, they noticed sales skyrocketed by 105-percent!
